SINGAPORE: Polytechnics, ITE colleges, junior colleges and secondary schools can now tap on a S$4.5 million fund to develop entrepreneurship learning activities in schools.

The fund - called the Young Entrepreneurs Scheme for Schools, or "YES!" - aims to provide structured programmes that will encourage entrepreneurship among Singapore's youth.

The money will be available over a five-year period. The maximum sum each school can receive ranges from S$10,000 to $100,000, depending on whether they are secondary or tertiary level institutions.

SPRING hopes to be able to support 30 schools in the first year and up to 80 schools in subsequent years.

Interested schools can apply to use the fund by e-mailing yes_schools@spring.gov.sg from November 1. - CNA/vm
