Minister Lee Boon Yang to attend ministerial conference in China

SINGAPORE: Information, Communications and the Arts Minister, Dr Lee Boon Yang, will be leading a delegation to Nanning, China, from 13-17 October.

Dr Lee is visiting China at the invitation of Mr Wang Chen, China's Minister of State in the Council Information Office, to attend the first Conference of ASEAN-China Ministers Responsible for Information.

The theme of the conference is "Enhancing Information Exchanges and Cooperation between ASEAN and China".

ASEAN information ministers will exchange views with their Chinese counterpart and Chinese media organisations on ways to enhance cooperation and promote mutual understanding.

Dr Lee will be accompanied by officials from his Ministry, and the Media Development Authority of Singapore.
