WDA's Ong Ye Kung to be seconded to NTUC

SINGAPORE: The National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) will welcome its third assistant secretary general with the arrival of Mr Ong Ye Kung.

The 39-year-old is currently the chief executive of the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA).

Taking over the helm at WDA will be Mr Chan Heng Kee, 39, deputy secretary (development) of Public Service Division (PSD), Prime Minister's Office.

Mr Chan is concurrently the chief executive officer and dean of the Civil Service College (CSC).

Succeeding Mr Chan at PSD and CSC will be Mr Lionel Yeo, 35, the college's deputy chief executive officer and director of the Institute of Policy Development at CSC.

The appointments will take effect on December 1, 2008.
