SINGAPORE: Singapore is set to send another peacekeeping mission to Timor-Leste next Tuesday.

The 21-member team was presented with the state insignia by Law and Second Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam on Wednesday.

This is the Singapore Police Force's third contingent to Timor-Leste, since the first one in 2006.

It will spend a year there, with a mandate to continue to restore law and order, and to train members of the Timor-Leste police force.

The team is led by Contingent Commander Superintendent Keok Tong San.
