SINGAPORE: Rainy days are a bane for motorcyclists. But by the end of next year, there will be more rain shelters for them around Singapore.

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is building 31 more shelters under expressway flyovers.

The shelters will be located along five expressways – Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE), Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE), Pan Island Expressway (PIE), Seletar Expressway (SLE), and Tampines Expressway (TPE).

There will be signs posted before each shelter to alert motorcyclists of its location.

Costing over S$2.5 million, this will bring the total number of such shelters to 60 islandwide.
