Bowling: New Hui Fen bags gold medal at championship in Macau

SINGAPORE: Singaporean bowler New Hui Fen won a gold medal at the Masters at Asian Intercity Tenpin Bowling Championship in Macau on Friday.

The 16-year-old national bowler took part in the Masters for Women category.

With a total pinfall of 3,440, the student from Singapore Sports School beat Liza Clutario of Paranaque by four pins.

Hui Fen is part of a team of eight bowlers from Singapore. In total, the team won two gold medals, one silver and a bronze in the championship in Macau, and will return to Singapore on Saturday.
