SINGAPORE: Thirty-eight Secondary 2 and 3 students from nine secondary schools battled it out on Wednesday to create the ultimate Christmas pizza.

The schools that took part in the competition were Bedok View Secondary School, Clementi Town Secondary School, Greendale Secondary School, Hong Kah Secondary School, Juying Secondary School, Marsiling Secondary School, Serangoon Garden Secondary School, Unity Secondary School and Yuying Secondary School.

Pizza toppers that were used in the contest included unusual ingredients like dough fritters and cucumbers.

The team from Greendale Secondary School eventually clinched the top prize with their cranberry-sauced creation.

The event was jointly organised by Nanyang Polytechnic School of Life Sciences and Pizza Hut.

The winning pizza may be sold at Pizza Hut outlets during the festive season.
