SINGAPORE : Last-minute Christmas shopping took on special meaning on Sunday morning, when just over 100 underprivileged children aged between 6 and 12 took to the shops with their adult buddies.

They enjoyed a one-hour shopping spree, armed with a S$70 voucher and well-thought-out list.

The sponsored trip was courtesy of TNT employees and organised by the Lions Club.

An annual ritual since 2003, this was a shopping spree that certainly rung in some retail joy for the kids. - CNA/ms
