SINGAPORE: The Ministry of Education said the results of the 2008 GCE O-Level Examination will be released on January 12.

School candidates may collect their results from their schools at 2pm.

Private candidates will be informed by post. They may also access their results through the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board website at
www.seab.gov.sg from 2pm on Monday.

Students can apply for Junior Colleges, the Millennia Institute, Polytechnics and the Institute of Technical Education online at
www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/jae.

The Joint Admissions Exercise registration period is on for five days starting from 3pm on Monday and ending at 4pm on Friday.

The Education Ministry said posting results are tentatively scheduled to be out on January 30.

An application fee of S$7 will be charged for the first application, and S$10 for amendment of choice(s) to the submitted application.

JAE applicants are allowed to amend their submitted application only once. They will not need to make their fee payment online during the JAE period.

All JAE application fees will only be collected after the exercise by the institution that the applicant is eventually enrolled in. - CNA/vm
