SINGAPORE: The man alleged to have attacked Member of Parliament Seng Han Thong has been charged in court.

70-year-old Ong Kah Chua was charged with voluntarily causing grievous hurt by pouring out a bottle of thinner and torching it, injuring Mr Seng and temple chairman Aw Chui Seng.

Ong has been remanded at the Institute of Mental Health, and is next expected in court on January 23.
