Singapore and Brunei conclude military exercise

SINGAPORE: The armies of Singapore and Brunei concluded a 10-day exercise codenamed 'Maju Bersama' on Monday.

This year's exercise consisted of urban operations training and a combined live-firing exercise.

About 290 personnel from the 2nd Battalion, Singapore Infantry Regiment; 3rd Singapore Infantry Brigade; and 3rd Battalion, Royal Brunei Land Forces, took part in the exercise.

Singapore's Chief of Army, Major-General Neo Kian Hong, and the Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces, Colonel Haji Yussof Bin Haji Abdul Rahman, officiated at the closing ceremony.

Both armed forces conduct regular bilateral exercises, visits and professional courses. - CNA/de
