SINGAPORE: A fire broke out at a manufacturing plant in Joo Koon Crescent on Friday.

The plant, owned by mainboard-listed Ellipsiz, caught fire at 12.26pm.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) sent two fire engines, two fire bikes, one Red Rhino and an ambulance to the scene.

A 53-year-old finance manager suffered smoke inhalation and was sent to the Singapore General Hospital.

SCDF officers put out the fire, which occurred in the plant's clean room, in 15 minutes.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
