SINGAPORE: Having completed their acclimatisation cycles, Singapore's first all-woman Everest team will make a push for the summit at dawn on May 8.

The NATAS Singapore Women's Everest Team hopes to reach the mountain top on May 12.

The six women had trained rigorously for four years before launching their adventure.

Just three days ago, they had a close shave with an avalanche.

But the weather looked good now, and the women said they feel more prepared than ever.
