Road closures in Raffles Place, Harbourfront areas for multi-agency exercise on July 6-7

SINGAPORE : Singapore's national defence and security agencies will be conducting a major exercise simulating multiple terrorist attacks from July 6-7.

Exercise Northstar VII will result in several lane closures along peripheral roads at the following locations:

From 6 July, 2330 hours to 7 July, 0400 hours:

1) Battery Rd - extreme left lane between Flint St and Market St
2) D'almedia St - Extreme left lane between Collyer Quay and Malacca St
3) Collyer Quay - Extreme left lane between Hitachi Tower and Battery Rd

On 7 July, 0930-1300 hours:

1) Telok Blangah Road - extreme left lane between bus stop in front of Vivocity and Habourfront Walk
2) Harbourfront Walk - extreme left lane between Telok Blangah Road and Vivocity
3) Harbourfront Place - extreme left lane between Harbourfront Ave and Merrill Lynch Harbourfront

The police advise motorists to avoid the affected roads and plan their journeys early.

Officers will also be stationed at affected road junctions to assist and direct motorists.

Electronic road displays and advisory signs will be put up a few days prior to actual closure to warn motorists.

Any vehicles found parking illegally or causing obstruction will be towed away.
