SINGAPORE: Over 3,500 jewellery pieces will be on display at the "Around the World" jewellery show.

Worth more than S$10 million, the pieces will be up for sale at the three-day event.

Visitors can take in the quirky creations which have been divided into four themes "Out of Africa", "Mystery of the Orient", "City Lights" and "Ultramarine".

One of the event highlights is an auction of eight of the pieces on show, with the proceeds going to five charities - New Hope Community Services, Lion's Save Sight Centre, Lion's Home for Elders, Henderson Senior Citizen's Home and Sunshine Project.

Celton Foundation will also match dollar for dollar the entire sales proceeds generated from the charity auction.

The show is being held at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza until Sunday. - CNA/vm
