SINGAPORE: Sengkang Punggol ended their six-week wait for a win on Monday evening when they beat Bruneian side DPMM FC 2-1 at Hougang Stadium.

The result put the Dolphins level on points with Albirex Niigata, although they remain third from bottom on goal difference.

Mamadou Diallo gave the hosts the lead three minutes before the break with his first league goal of the season, and Murphy Wiredu made it 2-0 midway into the second half with a header off Azhar Baksin's corner.

Shahrazen Said pulled a goal back for the visitors in the 75th minute, but Sengkang held on comfortably for their first win under caretaker coach Aide Iskandar. - S.League.com
