SINGAPORE - Singapore's budget carrier Tiger Airways will resume flights to the Thai resort of Krabi four times a week from end-October.

The airline said sales, which began Tuesday, will be for travel from October 25 onwards. Fares start from S$20 one way, excluding airport taxes and charges.

Tiger will be the only airline operating from Singapore to Krabi, which is the airline's third destination in Thailand, after Bangkok and Phuket.

It represents the fifth new destination launched by Tiger this year, bringing the airline's network to 37 routes in nine countries across the Asia Pacific.

Rosalynn Tay, managing director, Tiger Airways Singapore, said: "Since we first operated to Krabi in 2005, it has been a very popular holiday destination. We have received numerous requests for us to resume our services to Krabi."

"We are working closely with the local tourism and hospitality industries in Thailand to ensure that the start of the popular low fares service of Tiger Airways will have a huge impact on the number of visitors to Krabi," she added.
