SINGAPORE: New evidence in court on Tuesday revealed that ex-CEO of Ren Ci, Ming Yi had S$570,000 in his personal bank account in June and that this was more than enough to repay his former assistant Raymond Yeung.

However, Ming Yi claimed that not all the money was his.

He said some of it was actually donations from people meant for the Singapore Buddhist Free Clinic.

Ming Yi also told the court he will take responsibility for his actions and for his former assistant to be let off. - CNA/vm
