SINGAPORE: Malaysian financial services provider CIMB Group has pledged a portion of its earnings for disaster relief.
It has designated the October 14 as "Padang Day", where fees from its Indonesian trade activities will be donated to aid victims of the Padang earthquake.
The money will go to its "Star Padang Relief Fund", which will help with emergency relief and reconstruction efforts in quake-hit areas.
CIMB Group has raised 2.8 million ringgit as of October 11. - CNA/vm
