SINGAPORE: The Muslim community has once again come together to raise funds for humanitarian aid.

S$116,500 has been raised in a donation drive organised by Blessings-for-All Foundation, with the help of 69 mosques in Singapore.

A special collection was organised last week, in aid of the humanitarian relief effort for victims of the earthquake in Sumatra and flood victims in Philippines.

The amount was presented on Friday afternoon by Mr Poad Mattar, chairman of Blessings-for-All Foundation to director of Mercy Relief, Dr Fatimah Lateef.

Proceeds will be used to support humanitarian effort by Mercy Relief in the two affected areas. - CNA/vm
