SINGAPORE : The two-day APEC CEO Summit - which will bring together more than 800 of the world's top business leaders to meet some of the Pacific Rim's most powerful leaders - kicks off on Friday.
Singapore's Trade and Industry Minister, Lim Hng Kiang, welcomed the business leaders at a reception on Thursday evening.
Pointing out how extensively the global landscape has changed post-crisis, Mr Lim said now was the time to develop and implement new initiatives to meet future needs.
The reception followed a day of APEC political leaders starting to arrive for the APEC Leaders' Summit this weekend. - CNA /ls
