SINGAPORE: Almost 150 golfers took part in a charity tee-off on Friday afternoon at the Orchid Country Club.
There were several dignitaries amongst them, including Senior Minister S Jayakumar and several members of parliament.
Several ambassadors, including those from Vietnam and Myanmar, were also there to show their support to raise S$150,000 for the restoration of Sri Mariamman Temple - Singapore's oldest Hindu temple.
The 185-year-old temple, being restored at a cost of S$3.2 million, will be consecrated in April.
