LOS ANGELES: Jennifer Aniston and Daniel Craig were among 115 people who have been invited to join the ranks of voters for the movie world's most sought after prizes, the Oscars, a statement said Monday.

Craig, best known for playing British superspy James Bond in "Casino Royale" and "Friends" star Aniston were among several actors invited to become voting members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Best supporting actress Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson and fellow "Dreamgirls" star Eddie Murphy were also invited to join, along with "Little Miss Sunshine" funnyman Steve Carell, an Academy statement said.

"These individuals are all exceptionally accomplished in their respective fields," said Academy President Sid Ganis. "We're looking forward to having them join the Academy's ranks."

The Academy's voting membership is about 6,000.
