PM Lee joins residents in National Day Observance ceremony

SINGAPORE: Some residents had an early start in celebrating National Day on Thursday and they were joined by ministers at various National Day Observance ceremonies across the island.

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was at Teck Ghee Primary School in Ang Mo Kio for the Observance ceremony, along with students from Teck Ghee Primary, Townsville Primary and Chong Boon Secondary School.

Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng, on the other hand, was in Bishan East for its National Day Observance ceremony.

Over in the eastern part of Singapore, Minister for National Development Mah Bow Tan joined residents at Tampines East Community Club for Singapore's birthday celebrations.
