SINGAPORE : If you missed the fireworks during the National Day Parade, here's another chance to catch a spectacular show in the sky.
The Singapore Fireworks Celebrations will take place at the Marina Bay floating platform from August 17-18.
Fireworks display from Pirotechnica Igual, a company based in Barcelona, will be featured in the two-day fireworks celebrations.
Another act that promises to enthral comes from China's Lidu Fireworks.
Besides visual effects, music will also be one of the main features during the displays.
"This is going to be the first time that we're putting fireworks together with the music. I think it will enhance the experience because you are not just viewing it, you're hearing it as well," said Hugh Yii, director of Festival Square Circle.
The audience will hear the works of many international choreographers.
To watch the fireworks, spectators need to be at the Esplanande, the Merlion Park or other buildings along Marina Bay.
That's because, according to organisers, tickets to the viewing gallery are no longer available to the public.
But with displays across a 350-metre range, spectators will get a good view, so long as they are in the vicinity. - CNA /ls
