SINGAPORE : Members of the public are invited to SMS their views on the National Day Rally Speech in English, Malay and Chinese.

Feedback unit REACH wants to engage more Singaporeans on national issues, and it hopes the inclusion of Chinese SMS text capability will encourage more heartlanders to respond.

Between August 19 and 25, the public can send their views to 9-77325-87 (or 9-SPEAK-UP).

They can start to do so during the live telecast of the National Day Rally speech.

They can also register with REACH to voice their opinions at an online discussion on August 21.

The e-Townhall will be chaired by Minister of State for Education Rear-Admiral (NS) Lui Tuck Yew, and Chairman of the REACH Panel, Dr Amy Khor.

And for the first time, overseas Singaporeans are also invited to email their feedback to REACH, and take part in the e-Townhall.

Details are available on the
Overseas Singaporean Portal. - CNA/ch
