SINGAPORE : This year's National Day Parade (NDP) at Marina Bay was one of the most memorable in Singapore's history.
And to thank all those involved, an appreciation dinner was held on Monday in honour of all their hard work and dedication.
Manpower Minister Dr Ng Eng Hen was at the event to thank the participants.
He told them that Singapore's first NDP at Marina Bay reflected the strong desire and motivation to stage something special.
Dr Ng said he is proud that the organisers overcame challenges and turned it into a winning solution.
Even though only 27,000 got tickets for the show, more than 150,000 people eventually caught the parade all along the Marina Bay.
Another 1.8 million also watched it on television. - CNA/ms
