SINGAPORE: Spouses of ASEAN leaders went for a multi-cultural treat at the Singapore History Museum on Tuesday afternoon.

The highlight was the prize-giving ceremony for the winners of "Postcards Across ASEAN". Children from 10 ASEAN countries, aged between 6 and 12, had designed 35,000 postcards for the pen-pal project.

Ten-year-old Lo Bo Vireak Thun from Cambodia clinched the first prize; 12-year-old Slavian Oktabri Delastyanto from Indonesia took the second prize, and six-year-old Sippapas Kaewthamai from Thailand was awarded the third prize.

A prize was also given out to the Merit Award winner, Cheong Weisi, from Singapore.

Ms Ho Ching, wife of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, also hosted lunch for the spouses of ASEAN heads of state, ministers and ambassadors.

They also had a tour of the museum's Singapore History Gallery.

The programme for the spouses will end on Wednesday with informal visits to various tourist attractions. - CNA/ac
