KORAT : It was a slow day again for Singapore at the SEA Games, with only one gold medal to add to the tally.

The medal came from the Republic's number one bowler Remy Ong, who clinched victory in the men's masters final.

Ong scored 441 pinfalls, one more than Indonesia's Ryan Leonard Lalisang.

This is the 27-year-old bowler's first individual gold medal at the SEA Games. He had already won one gold medal from the men's trios.

Singapore now has 39 gold medals and has slipped down another couple of notches on the medal tally.

However, the Republic is expected to move up the table again, with gold medals expected from the sailing events on Friday. - CNA /ls
