KORAT, Thailand: Singapore has won four more gold medals at the SEA Games, thanks to sailing.

This brings the number of gold medals to 43 - just two short of Singapore's target of 45.

Unlike seven gold medals won in the last Games, the present squad of sailors is made up of many youngsters and rookies.

One of those who got the chance to stand at the top of the podium is Rachel Lee. She won the Optimist Girl event.

Also winning gold was Justin Liu Xiaman and Sherman Cheng Feng Yuan, for the International 420 Men.

A third gold in the sport came from Dawn Liu Xiaodan and Elizabeth Tan Li Yong who competed in the women International 470 category.
