PHILADEPLHIA, Pennsylvania - Polls closed Tuesday in the Pennsylvania primaries with US networks saying they could not make an early call in the race between White House hopefuls Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

CNN television channel said there was a "competitive" battle between the two Democratic Party rivals, as Fox news predicted a close race between the former first lady and the Illinois senator. - AFP/ir
