SINGAPORE: MediaCorp and World Vision Singapore are coming together to help young survivors of the Sichuan earthquake rebuild their lives by raising funds to construct a school for them.

Called "Making a Difference – A School for the Children", the joint initiative aims to fund a school for 300 students in Shaanxi province – one of the areas badly affected by the Sichuan earthquake in May.

From now till September 14, all of MediaCorp's radio stations will appeal for donations and these funds will be channelled to World Vision Singapore.

The two organisations hope to raise S$250,000 through this joint effort.

If you wish to donate, details are available online at
www.mediacorpradio.sg/charity2008.
