SINGAPORE: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will be in Singapore for a two-day working visit from July 2.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says this will be Mr Ban's first visit to the Republic since taking office in 2007.

Mr Ban will be accompanied by Mr B. Lynn Pascoe, UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs; Mr Ibrahim Gambari, Special Advisor to the UN Secretary-General on Myanmar; and other senior UN officials.

During his visit, Mr Ban will call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and be hosted to dinner by Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong at the Istana.
