Ang Mo Kio, Yio Chu Kang residents hold National Day Observance Ceremony

SINGAPORE: It is one week to go to this year's National Day, and residents of Ang Mo Kio and Yio Chu Kang are getting into the swing of things with their own celebrations.
The Observance Ceremony at Yio Chu Kang Stadium kicked off with the National Anthem and Pledge, with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong joining in.
PM Lee is also MP for Ang Mo Kio GRC.
Twenty-five schools and interest groups also took part in their very own community march past.
Organisers also set up booths to raise awareness and drum up support for the Youth Olympic Games, which will take place in Singapore next August.
