SINGAPORE : MediaCorp's coverage of this year's National Day Parade attracted a record number of viewers on television and online.
The broadcast of the nation's 44th birthday celebrations on MediaCorp Channel 5, 8, U, Suria, Vasantham and okto achieved a reach of 45.3 per cent or 2.11 million viewers aged 4 and above. This number is the highest ever recorded in the past eight years.
MediaCorp's National Day Parade website also registered over 18,000 unique visitors.
Close to 6,000 viewers spent an average of 50 minutes watching the parade via live-streaming.
MediaCorp said the site attracted viewers from as far as Australia, China, Malaysia and US. - CNA /ls
