Questions on Goodyear leaving Temasek to be asked in Parliament

SINGAPORE: Questions surrounding Temasek Holdings' CEO-designate Charles Goodyear leaving after such a short stint are expected to come up for discussion when Parliament sits on Tuesday.

Besides that, Finance Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam is expected to answer queries on how quality is assured when bids are awarded to the lowest tender.

Members of Parliament are also expected to pose a number of questions to Transport Minister Raymond Lim – from the issue of transporting foreign workers in lorries to eating on MRT trains.

The issue of loansharks has been in the news lately and MPs have filed questions on what is being done about this.

A motion on nation-building has also been filed by Nominated MP Viswa Sadasivan and Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC MP Michael Palmer.

Among other bills to be debated is one on changes to the legal profession.
