SINGAPORE: S.League leaders Super Reds kicked off their Singapore Cup campaign with determination when they defeated Geylang United 2-1 in extra-time.

Choi Young Min looked to have won the match for the Super Reds when he scored in the 89th minute, but Geylang's Ratislav Belicak equalised in the dying seconds to force the match into extra-time.

Choi gave the Super Reds the winning edge in the 101st minute, securing qualification for the next round, where the Koreans will meet SAFFC. - CNA/de
