Nokia has amped up its XpressMusic portfolio of music-centric phones with two new offerings – the 5320 and the 5220 (picture).

Compatible with the recently-launched Nokia Music Store at music.nokia.com.sg, both phones feature Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP so you can stream music wirelessly to Bluetooth-enabled speakers or headphones. They also come with a 3.5mm audio port, an FM radio, a microSD slot and a 2-megapixel camera.

The 3.5G Nokia 5320 XpressMusic allows you to play a song via voice activation. Just say the title or artist name out loud and the track comes on. It supports music files in MP3, M4A, eAAC+ and WMA formats.

This Symbian-based S60 device sports a high-speed USB port for file transfers and a full-featured Internet browser. It doubles as a gaming device and is compatible with Nokia's N-gage, with a dedicated keypad for games. The phone has 140MB of internal memory and supports up to 8GB of expanded memory.

The Nokia 5220 XpressMusic is a no-frills 2.5G music phone with a unique edgy shape. The Series 40-based device supports audio files in MP3, eAAC+ and WMA formats. It has 30MB of internal memory and supports up to 2GB of expanded memory. You get a micro USB port for file transfers. It supports audio files in MP3, eAAC+ and WMA formats. Nokia claims up to 24 hours of music playback on both the 5320 and the 5220.

The phones are scheduled for release in the third quarter of the year. No word yet on pricing. - TODAY/fa
