Hong Kong Disneyland has opened the gates to its very own mini universe where whimsy, song, dance and animated Disney characters rule.

Launched last month to great fanfare, the It’s A Small World attraction is a leisurely boat ride that takes visitors on a cruise of the world. Along the way, they will see whimsical depictions of famous landmarks and catch a glimpse of popular Disney characters in action.

:A tour of China will feature Mulan showing off her :gongfu :chops, for example, while a visit to the Middle East will throw up a fun-loving Aladdin.

:Although the attraction is available at other Disney theme parks, the Hong Kong ride boasts unique China and Hong Kong scenes and a spectacular light show at the end. It also features the Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean and Tagalog versions of the theme song, :It’s a Small World.

:Asked what she thought of the ride, Nadya Zaheer, 9, : :said: “It was fun!”

:She and hundreds of children from the region were in Hong Kong Disneyland last month for the launch of the ride. :

:Yeo Jong Han, 12, her fellow Singaporean at the launch, had so much fun that he couldn’t decide which part of the park was his favourite. He was decisive on one thing, though. Asked if he wanted to return to Hong Kong Disneyland, his quick reply was: “Of course!”:
