In Once Upon A Village season 1, we sent five professionals to five different impoverished communities
in Asia to help the villagers realise their dreams of a better life.
A year on, these experts and the producers will revisit the communities to track the changes and
impact
their efforts have on the lives of the native profiles and villages. Will the Cambodian villagers be
able to learn from their failed attempt in poultry farming and make it a successful business the second
time round? How many of the young Filipino violinists selected are likely to pass the UK music examination
and move nearer to fulfilling their dream of becoming a professional musician?
This new series turns the phrase "reality TV" on its head and shows how TV can change reality and make
things happen – often at a faster pace.
