It's become passe to be the tough guy today, and now it seems women want the sensitive new age guy, who's in touch with his emotions, his feminine side.

It is that phenomenon which emerged over the last 20 years - the SNAG, the urban Romeo.

Howard was one of bachelors fighting for the hand of the fair maiden, in Singapore's reality TV series, Eye for a Guy- which saw 10 guys vying for the affections of one woman, Denise Keller.

Nicely put he was the runner up, but really... he was just the last dude the girl turned away. And he had to watch her walk away with another guy.

Ahh but well one girl's loss is other women's gain.

Howard might not have won the heart of Denise Keller, but he definitely won the hearts of women all over the island. Especially with his very thoughtful and romantic, not to mention extremely unusual gestures.

DIANA: Do you consider yourself a SNAG as you put it, a sensitive new age guy?

HOWARD: I guess I lean more towards the SNAG then I do being the athletic buff, physically super musculine guy.

DIANA: Yes I can see that without being rude.

HOWARD: What! I was joking. Yes, I would consider myself more along the lines of SNAG.

DIANA: And what was the most romantic thing you’ve ever done for a girl?

HOWARD: Here is an example of something. This girl’s birthday is coming up on Saturday. And so I am trying to think of how can we celebrate. I am trying to find out all the places that I might be able to find Singapore's best. So you might have Singapore's best dessert, Singapore's best chicken rice, Singapore's best coffee. And you kind of go to all these different places throughout the day and the night. Each one is supposedly Singapore's best. And you can end it with a card that says, hey you are Singapore's best girl.

Howard is one of the few men I can talk to at eye level if you know what I mean. He is adorable. He is very good to chat to, he makes me feel like I can just pick up the phone and ring him anytime I want. But at the same time it makes you wonder if he can take control of the situation if you know what I mean. The letter, the prose as he puts it was very sweet, I am very impressed that he took the time to do it. He is obviously very comfortable with expressing himself. So I give him 3 and a half Ds.
