DIANA: You’ve been perceived as tall dark and handsome, so do you find that your average young girls tend to like you more than your average sophisticated women?

PING HUI: I would like to think that I go beyond tall dark and handsome. In the first place, I am not. I’ve been told that I am not conventionally good looking in the sense that girls don’t just look at me and go "wow", he is very good looking.

I'd like to think that I am beyond that, I have a brain, I am somewhat intelligent, I think, I hope. In that sense, girls that like me would be beyond the young girl stage. I would like to think that intelligent successful women would find me attractive somewhat.

There are some men who can make a woman feel like she is in the centre of his world, and Ping Hui is one of them. He does that not just with his eyes, when he talks to you, but with his ears. Ping Hui listens to you. That said because he is an actor, unfortunately I can’t quite get past that celebrity thing. Because the whole time I am thinking to myself, is this guy for real? He is an actor, how do I know if he’s acting. So I think out of 5 Ds I shall give him 3 and a half Ds and that’s really high by my standards.
