Honda has no plans to modify production in Mexico, says economy minister

MEXICO CITY : Mexican Economy Minister Marcelo Ebrard said on Tuesday that Honda executives in the country had spoken with the government and said they have no plans to modify their production there.
Ebrard's comments in a post on X came after newspaper Nikkei reported that Japanese automaker Honda was considering moving some car production from Mexico and Canada to the United States in response to new U.S. auto tariffs.
