Hong Kong Q3 GDP expands 1.8% y/y, slower than forecast

HONG KONG : Hong Kong's economy grew 1.8 per cent in the third quarter from a year earlier, official advance estimates showed on Thursday, expanding for a seventh straight quarter.
That was slower than the mean forecast of 3.1 per cent year-on-year growth by economists in a Reuters poll, a revised 3.2 per cent expansion in the second quarter and 2.8 per cent expansion in the first quarter.
