Japan July jobless rate rises to 2.7%, job availability edges up

TOKYO : Japan's jobless rate in July rose to 2.7 per cent from 2.5 per cent in June, government data showed on Friday.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate compared with economists' median forecast of 2.5 per cent.
The jobs-to-applicants ratio in July rose to 1.24 from 1.23 in June, separate labour ministry data showed. The median forecast was for 1.23.
