SEOUL : South Korea's central bank said on Wednesday it has nominated Park Ki-young, an economics professor at Yonsei University, as a new board member.

Park will take over the empty slot, if appointed, after Koh Seung-beom left the seven-member board to take the helm of the Financial Services Commission.
