TOKYO : Tokyo Electric Power Co will invest 470 billion yen ($3.25 billion) by financial year 2027 to expand its power grid to meet growing electricity demand for AI data centres, the Nikkei business daily reported on Thursday.

The Japanese utility giant will triple its investment in power grid infrastructure in the next five years, the Nikkei said.
