BANGKOK : Thailand's manufacturing production index (MPI) in August fell 4.15per cent from a year earlier, as a coronavirus outbreak affected production and jobs, the industry ministry said on Wednesday, missing analyst forecasts.

The reading compared with a forecast for no change in output in a Reuters poll and July's revised 3.92per cent increase.
