Ryan Reynolds reveals ‘really talented’ Blake Lively helps him with scripts

There’s no doubt that Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are a power couple in Hollywood. During a SiriusXM Town Hall for Reynold’s new film, Free Guy, the actor was asked by a fan what was the best part of being married to Lively, and he revealed that she has a huge part to play in the success of many of his films.

The 44-year-old Deadpool star said that his wife, who is 33, is a “really talented, multi-hyphenate kind of person”.

"She's helped me so much in Deadpool, all kinds of movies that have been big successes," he added. "She's always got a lot of bricks in that wall."

He usually writes a lot of his movies and sometimes he is credited, sometimes not. He mentioned that there’s a lot of “A++ writing” that he has done where he asked his wife for help.

“Blake would jump in, grab the keyboard and (say) 'What about this?' And I'd be like, 'That's incredible.”

The Canadian actor spoke up about how he feels that there might be “inherent sexism” in the industry, citing an example where he will say numerous times that Lively wrote something and not him, and it’ll still be written up in a story that he wrote it.

On Wednesday (Aug 4), Reynolds posted an Instagram photo of him and Lively at the Free Guy red carpet with a hilarious caption.

“What a huge night for #FreeGuy. And what a huge night for @blakelively because this means we’re Instagram official. I know how important that was to her.”

The comment section did not disappoint as Chris Hemsworth, the god of thunder himself, responded: “Congratulations @blakelively I’m still holding onto the dream that Ryan will make him and I instagram official as well”.

American model Gigi Hadid also joined in the fun with, “Ahhhh finally…! I thought you’d already used up all your ‘premiere appearances’ in The Contract”, referring to their marriage.

The couple got married in 2012 and they have three daughters: Six-year-old James, four-year-old Inez, and Betty, who is 21 months old.
