The Institute of Policy Studies looked at the cost of common meals at local hawker centres, kopitiams and food courts to estimate the average price of eating out. The study titled ‘The Cost of Eating Out: Findings from the Makan Index 2.0’ showed that the food prices at our hawker centres did not actually change much.
